Elephant I will watch on January 20th as you accept your position in the White House salute you! Words cannot express the way I felt last night when I learned that Barack Obama was in fact our elected President. I will never forget that moment when I received the call from my sister telling me that he had won. I still get chills just writing about it. No more will we as colored people and when I say colored I mean African American, Hispanic, Asian, West Indians and all people of color; no longer will feel inferior to anyone. I realized then that everything is possible and obtainable! Thank you GOD! Thank you for giving us this moment and this opportunity to make a difference in this world because we all won last night. Every single person that stood in line for hours this is your win as well! I cried last night I cried happy tears! Now its time to rejoice and come together to make a change with the help of President Barack Obama! keep reading and reading and all I read is reverse RACISM! he not in the office yet officially and yet I only paid 25 to fill my tank up!!!!! GOD BLESS US ALL ok HATERS GET A ROOM OF YALL OWN CUZ AINT NOBODY TRYIN TO READ WHAT YALL DONT MATTER ABOUT THE HE AINT BLACK CRAP, OR ISLAM WARRIORS, OR HE ONLY WON IT HE WON BOTTOM WENT WAY PASS 270 AND IT IS WHAT IT IS!!!YALL THEORIES AND BLAH BLAH DONT MATTER. never seen any other side of his family never had to deal with anything blacks go thru hes African, not black and we all know most Africans do not consider themselves Black elephant they actually dislike Black people WOW! We are living to see this! Who has ever run against a Kenyan won? Thank you Clara Wanjiku Odero After watching the final debate the other night, it dawned on me that Obama could actually win this thing. If that happens, there will be a lot of people some of our co-workers included who will be afraid that an Obama presidency will usher in the end of days. Theyll be watching us on November 5th the day after the election for signs of the end times. To keep the peace and keep a lot of folks from getting nervous, I think we should develop a list of acceptable celebrations and behaviors we should probably avoid at least for the first few days: No crying, hugging or shouting Thank you Lord at least not in public 4 No calling in sick on November 5th. Theyll get nervous if too many of us dont show up. 5 Were allowed to give each other knowing winks or nods in passing. Just try to keep from grinning too hard. No singing loudly, Weve come this Far By Faith it will be acceptable to hum softly No bringing of barbeque ribs or fried chicken for lunch in the company lunchroom for at least a week no chittlings at all this may make us seem to ethnic No leaving kool-aid packages at the water fountain this might be a sign that poor folks might be getting a break through No doing the George Jefferson dance unless youre in your office with the door closed Please try not to yell-BOOOO YAH! I just want to make sure were all on the same page when Obama brings this thing home on November 5th. Now go get your early vote on and lets make this thing happen!!! Thanks Sherie Pardon my swag, Im a hard act to follow. a CHANAGE has come to u now will u take it and work with it????? Everyone is PROUDLY proclaiming him as the first Afro American President. All races celebrated alike. Ive never seen so many people smile and cry collectively. The hair stands up on my arms. And my eyes are still watering just watching the footage. ITS A BEAUTIFUL THING WATCHING THE RACES COME TOGETHER. Im Bi-Polar and I effen LOVE it! CHANGE IS COMING AMERICA!!! I AM BEYOND EXCITED I CRIED TEARS OF JOY!!! around this!! Im so excited! And people, make sure you drink Lift every voice and sing, till earth and Heaven ring, Ring with the harmonies of liberty; Let our rejoicing rise, high as the listening skies, Let it resound loud as the rolling sea. Sing a song full of the faith that the dark past has taught us, Sing a song full of the hope that the present has brought us; Facing the rising sun of our new day begun, Let us march on till victory is won. Stony the road we trod, bitter the chastening rod, Felt in the days when hope unborn had died; Yet with a elephant beat, have not our weary feet, Come to the place for which our fathers sighed? We have come over a way that with tears has been watered, We have come, treading our path through the blood of the slaughtered; Out from the gloomy past, till now we stand at last Where the white gleam of our bright star is cast. God of our weary years, God of our silent tears, Thou Who hast brought us thus far on the way; Thou Who hast by Thy might, led us into the light, Keep us forever in the path, we pray. Lest our feet stray from the places, our God, where we met Thee. Lest our hearts, drunk with the wine of the world, we forget Thee. Shadowed beneath Thy hand, may we forever stand, True to our God, true to our native land. My heart is so full of pride right now, YES WE DID!!! I have only this to say, Barack won the state of Iowa which elephant a 2% African American Explain that. The best man won. Now as black people, we need to stop making excuses and live up to his expectations of us as well. We have something to prove to ourselves and to the world. THERE IS ONLY ONE RACE AND THAT IS THE HUMAN RACE!! HiLite IS CHATTIN SH! T NYWAYZ IM S SPAM GLAD THAT WAS ALL EVERY1 WAS TALKIN ABOUT MY COLLEGE 2DAY said it, we will remember this forever. It was the day America officially broke down. messed around and hired a PIMP for President, dayum shame. But youll never be able to tell Black people that. All they saw was skin color. I seen and heard people saying Dr. Kings dream is coming true. They dont realize Dr. Kings dream was about coloring blindness, in both directions. So all these people that voted for Osama because he was Black, just pushed race relations back 50yrs and they do see it.
